EU Will Investigate X , for Potential Violations of , New Social Media Law.
Al Jazeera reports that the European Union has opened
an investigation into social media platform X regarding
suspected Digital Services Act (DSA) violations. .
The probe will be the first of
its kind under the new law.
On December 18, European Commissioner
Thierry Breton posted on the platform formerly
known as Twitter that "formal infringement
proceedings" had been opened "against @X.".
The Commission will now
investigate X’s systems and
policies related to certain
