Alyssa Valdez relishes her first championship at the Big Dome

Alyssa Valdez remembers like it was just yesterday when she and the Ateneo Lady Eagles bowed to the De La Salle Lady Spikers in Game 3 of the UAAP Season 78 women's volleyball tournament Finals at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in 2016.

Seven years later, through her Creamline's 22-25, 25-20, 29-27, 24-26, 15-12 Game 2 win over Choco Mucho in the 2023 PVL 2nd All-Filipino Conference best-of-3 Finals at the Big Dome on December 16, Valdez made a championship memory for the first time at the historic arena.

Valdez fired eight points including the championship clincher to give the Cool Smashers their third straight All-Filipino crown before a record crowd of over 24,000 fans.
