U.S. Senate Approves US$886 Billion Defense Budget With Measures for Taiwan

A massive defense spending bill with funds for Taiwan has passed the U.S. Senate. If the bill passes through the House of Representatives, it would allocate a record US$886 billion towards defense spending, with almost US$15 billion committed to Taiwan and the Asia-Pacific region.
