On Dec. 12, the streamer released "What We Watched: A Netflix Engagement Report'. The report ranks nearly all of Netflix's content by viewing hours from the past six months, CNBC reports. Viewing data for over 18,000 titles was included. The company plans to release an updated report every six months. Netflix has long been scrutinized for not being transparent about streaming data. Co-CEO Ted Sarandos said that the company previously kept this data private as it was experimenting and building its business to protect itself from competitors.
