Netflix has finally released the ability to download shows

For years subscribers have asked Netflix to make videos viewable offline. Today, Netflix has finally answered those prayers. Netflix announced the update to their service in a blog post on Tuesday and starting today, you can download many of your favorite shows and movies. Most of the the content that is available for download are Netflix original series and movies though there is still a fair selection from other studios. There are two options for download, Standard and Higher, the latter of which offers higher quality viewing at the cost of taking up more storage space. Netflix is not the first streaming service to offer downloadable content, with Amazon Prime introducing a similar feature more than a year ago. The downloadable content feature is available to all Netflix subscribers.
