King to attend COP28 climate action summit in UAE
  • 6 months ago
Following an invitation from the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, King Charles will travel to Dubai to deliver the opening address at Cop28 in the UAE on December 1. The monarch missed Cop27 in Egypt last year following advice from the Government while Liz Truss was prime minister, despite it being widely reported he had hoped to attend in person. Having played a significant diplomatic role as Prince of Wales at the U.K. hosted COP26 in 2021, COP28 will mark the first time he has attended a COP summit as King. Report by Caponm.
