Hezbollah destroys another Israeli Merkava tank with ATGM.
As part of the aggravation of the situation in northern Israel, members of the Hezbollah group successfully hit another Israeli Merkava tank with ATGMs. The incident was further evidence of the growing tension between the two sides. This is the eighth tank of this type destroyed since the beginning of the war (some of the tanks were also destroyed by Hamas members – ed.)
In response to the escalation of the situation, Israel decided to evacuate the civilian population in an area two kilometres from the country's northern border. This step may indicate Israel's readiness for a possible expansion of the conflict and a desire to protect its citizens from potential threats.
The Israeli army and Hezbollah have clashed in armed conflicts in the past, and the current situation may indicate that the Lebanese group has effectively opened a second front against Israel, which has definitely created serious problems for the IDF.
