Hamas, a Palestinian armed group, launched on Saturday a large-scale operation, called “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood” against Israel, its biggest such offensive in decades.

So far, thousands of rockets have been fired from the Gaza Strip toward Israel. Over 500 Israelis were injured and transferred to hospitals as some say that at least 22 Israelis were killed in the Hamas operation.

Israeli army announced "Operation Iron Swords" against the Hamas group in the Gaza Strip, in response to the "Operation Al-Aqsa Flood."

Israeli military radio said that Palestinian fighters have “infiltrated” Israel from Gaza and seized military bases as photos and videos went viral online showing Hamas fighters on vehicles inside Israel and others paragliding into Israeli territory.
