This is the horrifying moment boats crash and capsize on a Chinese waterslide, leaving distressed passengers shrieking as they try to cling on - with one woman taken out by another vessel as she tries to walk to safety.

The footage, filmed on Saturday in Tonglu in Zhejiang Province, shows a woman and a small child being knocked out of their boat by an oncoming vessel. The woman can be heard screaming in panic as they are pushed along the waterslide, which is several metres above the ground and has very short rails either side.

Another woman then slips and almost falls over the edge of the ride as she tries to make her way to safety. She is eventually swept away by a thrust of water and knocked into by two boats before being swept down the slide.

Miraculously, the woman was saved at the next turn, but the child sustained several injuries and was bleeding from their head. They were reported to be in a stable condition.
