Typhoon Jenny slightly weakens after landfall in Taiwan

Typhoon Jenny (international name: Koinu) slightly weakened as it made landfall over Pingtung County, Taiwan on Thursday morning, Oct. 5, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

In its 11 a.m. bulletin Thursday, PAGASA said Jenny has maximum sustained winds of 155 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gusts of up to 190 kph, while moving westward “slowly.”
