Marvel Studios is releasing only one movie in 2023, The Marvels, which is scheduled to be released on November 10, 2023. It is the sequel to 2019's Captain Marvel and is directed by Nia DaCosta. The film stars Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Zawe Ashton, Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, and Park Seo-joon.
The Marvels follows Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel (Larson) as she teams up with Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel (Vellani) and Monica Rambeau (Parris) to investigate a mysterious phenomenon that is affecting their powers. Zawe Ashton will play the villain in the film, but her character has not yet been revealed.
