The 2024 Kona N Line and Limited are available now; SE and SEL trim levels will arrive later this fall.

Hyundai announced the price of the compact Kona crossover model. Redesigned prices for 2024 are up about $2,000 over 2023; It starts at $24,435 for the base SE model, including a $1,335 destination charge. All-inclusive on the Limited starts at $32,985 before options, while the N Line starts at $31,985.

Currently, the 2024 Hyundai Kona can be ordered in N Line and Limited trims, while SE and SEL trims will also be available later this fall. The new crossover is slightly larger than the previous 2023 model, rides on a 2.3-inch longer wheelbase, and is 5.7 inches longer overall. The new styling features a less prominent front grille and headlights, while the rear end features redesigned taillights and a revised trunk lid.

The big change to the Kona includes a pair of 12.3-inch screens, one mounted on the center console and the other in front of the driver. However, there are still plenty of physical buttons for frequently used controls, minimizing the clutter of the infotainment system. Other changes to the interior include front seats with a slimmer seatback design to slightly increase rear legroom and a column-mounted shifter instead of a gear lever between the front seats.

Both four-cylinder engines come from the 2023 Hyundai Kona. The base power unit is a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine that produces 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. A turbocharged 1.6-liter engine is optional and produces 190 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. In addition to gasoline models, Hyundai also unveiled its new 2024 electric model, which will be available later this year.

Hyundai has been busy launching new models lately. In addition to the Kona, the automaker recently introduced refreshed versions of its Elantra and Sonata sedans and an all-new version of its Santa Fe SUV. It's also working on an N version of the all-electric Ioniq 5 that emits fake exhaust and delivers up to 641 horsepower through a simulated eight-speed transmission.
