BMW has announced a £600 million investment in its UK plants to transition its Mini brand to all-electric vehicles by 2030. The company will produce two electric models at its Oxford plant starting in 2026, and by 2030, the plant will exclusively manufacture electric vehicles. The investment is seen as a positive development for the UK car industry following Brexit uncertainty. In addition, BMW will invest £250 million in its UK factories to support EV production, with support from the UK government.
