Former U.S. President Donald Trump surrendered at an Atlanta jail and was booked on felony charges related to an alleged conspiracy to overturn his 2020 election loss in Georgia. It was the first time a former U.S. president was photographed for a mugshot, with Fulton County officials treating Trump like any other arrestee. Steven Sadow, a known criminal defense attorney, is now Trump's lead counsel. Trump is opposing a proposed Oct. 23 trial date.
