Deputy Tases and Injures Suspect, Doesn't Call EMS - May 14, 2022

On May 14th, 2022, Caldwell Parish Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched to a call of loud music. The person playing loud music allegedly ran from deputies for reasons not specified in the arrest report. The deputies, in their late 50s and early 60s, didn't feel like chasing the man so they just tased him. The taser caused him to fall face-first on a log, causing a busted lip and facial lacerations that were visible in the mugshot. Of note, deputies did not call for EMS or transport the arrestee to a hospital to be evaluated prior to booking.

Note: this recording is so short because I had sound-activated recording turned on. I'm recording 24/7/365 so it makes sense to not record hours upon hours of silence, for disk space and disk longevity reasons.
