Disney has announced significant pricing changes for its streaming platforms, including Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+. During the third quarter earnings call, CEO Bob Iger introduced a new bundle offering Hulu and Disney+ at a discounted rate but also revealed price increases for all three services. Starting on October 12, the ad-free plans for Disney+ and Hulu will rise from $10.99 to $13.99 and $14.99 to $17.99, respectively. Ad-supported plans will remain unchanged. ESPN+ subscription prices will increase from $9.99 to $10.99. The Hulu + Live TV offering will also see a $7 increase. Disney plans to extend its ad-supported plan to international markets, with price increases coming in December. The company also aims to curb password sharing by implementing measures in 2024.
