Thailand marks Sultan of Brunei’s birthday
Thai defence chief honoured on visit to Brunei
Thailand's chief of defence, Gen Chalermpol Srisawat, paid an official visit to Brunei from July 14 to 17 to mark the 77th birthday of His Majesty Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah,
The visit also aimed to strengthen bilateral defence relations, which will aid in the improvement of collaboration between the Royal Thai Army and the Brunei Army, as well as the overall stability of the region.
During the visit, he witnessed the royal parade ceremony organised by Brunei Army in honour of their monarch..
As a symbol of the two countries' strong ties, His Majesty the Sultan bestowed upon Gen Chalermpol the Royal Decoration of The Most Exalted Order of Paduka Keberanian Laila Terbilang (D.P.K.T).
The royal decoration is the highest decoration given to the Commander-in-Chief of friendly countries to honour and demonstrate the good relations between the Brunei Army and their armies.
Gen Chalermpol also attended a dinner reception at Nurul Iman Palace's Royal Banqueting Hall.
