Russian governors of Kursk and Belgorod regions claim that the areas came under attack from Ukrainian forces on July 5. Khodorkovsky said he learned that Putin left Moscow by plane during the failed coup. British Royal Air Force Typhoons took to the air on the evening of 4 July to intercept Russian aircraft in Estonia.
