Leeds City Square has a striking new Land Art Installation titled "Making A Stand". A captivating sculptural 'forest' comprising approximately 127 seven-metre-high timber fins from Douglas Fir Trees has taken root in the public square opposite Leeds railway station and the Queens Hotel. 'Making A Stand' brings attention to the urgent need for replacing carbon-intensive materials like concrete and steel in the built environment with more sustainable alternatives, such as timber.
