Times Square New Year's Eve "2021" Numeral Installation atop 1 Times Square

Every year on December 26th the numeral sign atop One Times Square is changed to reflect the upcoming year. It's this sign that lights up and can been seen for miles around when the New Year's Eve Ball descends in the minute leading up to midnight on December 31st each year. The "2021" has 526 energy efficient bulbs and the "1" has 72 by itself. The 7 foot high numerals have to be hand carried and winched in stages from the ground floor to the highest point on the world famous building. It takes a team of Landmark Signs workers several hours to complete the task. But it will be worth it to see the sign light up the night sky in less than a week from now.
