Tesla's May China Sales Soar

Tesla sold 77,695 vehicles made in China last month, a 2.4% increase from April's sales of 75,842. This marks a significant 141.6% jump from May 2022's deliveries of 32,165 vehicles. During his recent visit to China, Musk met with various industry figures and visited Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory, where he praised the work of the Tesla China SDS teams and emphasized the high efficiency and quality of the cars produced there. earlier in May, Tesla issued a recall for over 1.1 million vehicles in China due to an issue that prevented drivers from selecting the regenerative braking system. Tesla's sales in China continue to grow, indicating the company's strong presence in the Chinese electric vehicle market.
