J&K: Kathua DC takes stock of preparations ahead of Amarnath Yatra commencement

With the much-preached Amarnath Yatra about to begin, the administration in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua reviewed the preparations on May 16.

The main entry point was reviewed, where the arraignments to shelter around 600 devotees will be done. Kathua Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Minhas briefed on the preparations being made in the Union Territory.

The 62-day holy yatra will commence on July 1, the registration for which has already started.

“Administration reviewed the main entry point after which instructions have been given to do required arraignments for the devotees. Around 600 devotees will be able to say here. The administration is working for that, meanwhile, a help desk will also be prepared,” Minhas said.
