Crypto exchange Luno sees top global executive depart amid mounting challenges
  • last year
Vijay Ayyar, the Vice President of Corporate Development and International at cryptocurrency exchange Luno, has resigned after seven years with the company. His departure is not related to Luno's closure of its Singapore operation, but rather to pursue a new opportunity in the crypto and Web3 space, which he did not disclose. Ayyar was responsible for building out Luno's business-facing services and helped launch the exchange in over 40 markets globally. His departure comes as Luno undergoes a major restructuring effort and lost its co-founder and CTO, Timothy Stranex, in December 2022.
