A coroner investigating the death of an aboriginal man in the state's northwest says police made mistakes in how they dealt with his family. 22-year-old Gordon Copeland drowned in the flooding Gwydir River near Moree in July 2021, after running from police. His family says while it's grateful for the findings, the justice they were seeking hasn't been delivered.
