Coronial inquest into Aboriginal deaths, Doomadgee Hospital, begins with families

A coronial inquest has heard that a remote north-west Queensland hospital has a practice of sending patients home with paracetemol without giving them a proper examination. The inquest is investigating the deaths of three women in the Aboriginal community of Doomadgee, all of whom suffered from the treatable rheumatic heart disease.
