Four years ago, Karnataka faced a political crisis. More than dozen MLAs from the ruling Cong-JDS govt switched sides and declared support to BJP, bringing down the incumbent govt. BJP was accused of engineering the Defection of MLAs and luring them with money. In the aftermath of the political crisis the party did form a govt in the state, but now the same BJp is facing massive revolt, with just less than a month to go for Karnataka assembly election.
The party even before the announcement of the candidate list was facing factionalism, but after the candidate list, the saffron party's troubles have only increased. According to a report, the party is facing rebellion in as many as 40 constituencies. This has even prompted the dig from Congress, 40% commission govt facing rebellion in 40 constituencies.
