Kia Soul was projected into the air after it ran over a loose wheel from a pickup

The accident was recorded on the dash camera of a Tesla behind the Kia
It happened in north LA and police confirmed that nobody was seriously injured
A Kia Soul was launched 10 feet into the air on a Los Angeles highway after a loose wheel from a pickup truck plowed into it.

The dramatic moment captured on dashcam video shows a Chevrolet Silverado driving down the road - just seconds before its front left wheel breaks free.

The loose wheel then rolled into the left lane, directly in front of the Kia, catapulting the car into the air and causing it to roll once before coming to a stop.

It happened on the Ronald Reagan Freeway in Chatsworth, Los Angeles, on Thursday, March 23. The LAPD confirmed nobody was injured.

Video recorded on a Tesla dash camera shows the wheel pop free from the truck and roll underneath the Kia, propelling it into the air and flipping it upside down.

Anoop Khatra, who was driving the Tesla, shared the footage online and noted that noted that the autopilot feature caused the car to swerve around the loose wheel that rolled towards his after it derailed the Kia.

His Tesla gradually came to a halt amid the debris and well behind the Kia. The wheel then rolls into the stationary car and into its boot.

The Chevrolet, reduced to being on three wheels, had its brake lights on and drifted gradually off to the right side of the road before also coming to a stop.
