The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities said in a statement that a huge collection of mummified heads was found in the temple of Ramses II in the ancient city of Abydos in southern Egypt.
According to the ministry,
mummies of dogs,
mummies of goats,
mummies of cows,
mummies of gazelles ,
and
mummies of mongooses,
were also found, left as offerings in the temple.
