Former Labor Prime Minister Paul Keating has savaged the government's AUKUS submarine deal, describing it as the 'worst deal in all history'. The nuclear-powered submarines are expected to cost up to $368 billion over the next 30 years. Mr Keating says the deal is aimed at containing China, not defending Australia's shores and that tensions with Beijing have been 'manufactured'.
