The First Minister has condemned the theft of two iconic sculptures from her Glasgow constituency.
Nicola Sturgeon said the bronze Gorbals Boys represent a real connection to the city’s history and culture.
Next, Glasgow City Council has adopted a new transport plan which is expected to see car traffic reduced in the area by up to forty percent.
Their intentions are for walking to become the primary way of travelling around the city by 2030, and to make infrastructure more accessible to those with restricted mobility.
And in other news, the local authorities have been awarded over two million pounds in funding to transform the Govan Graving Docks into a green space.
It is one of fifteen projects that will share a ten million pound Scottish Government grant.
And while the land has lain derelict for forty years, it was featured in Sam Mendes’ World War One film, 1917.
