A Chinese balloon has been shot down by the US military off the coast of South Carolina on the orders of President Biden. The balloon - which the Pentagon believes had been spying on sensitive sites - appeared to plummet straight down into the sea after being hit. US officials say they are now seeking to recover the payload from the debris of the aircraft. The BBC's Tim Allman has more.
