This lick was played on VIM7 to V7 to Im7.
This lick was used repeatedly in this live version.
The second bar is a chord specific phrase to V7. The bending targets the M3rd of G7, and the 10th fret on high E string is the 5th of G7 (D).
Although it was a chord specific phrase, the D can be actually used throughout the song. The D is the M 2nd to the key of C minor. M 2nd adds sophisticated feel to C minor pentatonic scale.
Try experimenting with M 2nd with minor pentatonic scale.
