Halting spread of introduced plant disease Phytophthora dieback vital to saving iconic threatened species

It's the second biggest threat to Australia's native flora and fauna after rabbits, but the plant disease commonly known as "dieback" is hardly a household name. A new trial to stop its spread in the Otway Ranges will attack it from the ground and the air in the hope it will protect endangered animals who rely on the vegetation under threat.
