Invasive species are plants and animals which governments around the world limit because the organisms can damage local environments, import disease and cause economic loss to local industries. In China, customs officers have intercepted 3,948 different species of living organisms during more than 400,000 seizures done over the first 10 months of 2020, officials of China’s General Administration of Customs said on December 1.
