McDonald's in Poland gets knitwear makeover with a wool-like CARDIGAN covering the whole building

  • last year
A branch of the fast-food chain McDonald's had a knitwear-style makeover - with huge wool yarn covering the whole building. The building in Ustron, Poland, was covered in pink, yellow and green yarn and huge buttons - just like a cardigan. The company gave the branch a makeover to promote a new winter menu at the restaurant. It took four months of development and 28 days to install the design with over 50 workers involved. The interior of the restaurant was also embellished with decorations in a similar wool-like fashion. According to local media, another branch in Poland's Lublin was decorated as a snowball in a promotional effort four years ago. Part of the promotion was the release of the Drwala burger - or Lumberjack burger - in various different iterations.
