Metal detecting expert SHOOK by silent plane crashing a FEW METERS away from him
  • last year
Don't you love it when you take your metal detector to the beach and it points you in the direction of a full-fledged plane? Can't relate? Well, Joseph Cook certainly can!

This video features Joseph experiencing a close call when a single-engine aircraft crashes just a few meters away from where he was standing.

"It was a normal day detecting metal until I heard a weird crash I assumed was a wave," the filmer stated. "As I was turning around, I saw a plane on its nose turning over into the ocean. I frantically ran barefoot through the sand and immediately went to check on the pilot who I thought was still inside the plane."

Joseph added that the pilot told him the crash was due to engine failure and he was afraid he would hit one of the people on the beach, so he swerved and hit the water.

"The pilot did a great job and I commend his skills," the filmer wrote. "Without the engine, there was complete silence; I would have never seen the plane coming."
