सनातन धर्म में पूर्णिमा के दिन को बड़ा ही महत्वपूर्ण माना जाता है. मार्गशीर्ष का माह भगवान श्रीकृष्ण को समर्पित किया जाता है पौराणिक मान्यताओं के अनुसार मार्गशीर्ष माह से ही सतयुग काल आरंभ हुआ था. मान्यता है कि इस दिन किया गया है स्नान, दान, और तप बेहद ही लाभकारी सिद्ध होते हैं.

Full moon day is considered very important in Sanatan Dharma. The month of Marshish is dedicated to Lord Krishna. According to mythological beliefs, the Satyug period started from the month of Marshish. It is believed that bath, donation and penance done on this day prove to be very beneficial.
