कार्तिक पूर्णिमा कार्तिक मास के शुक्ल पक्ष को मनाया जाता है. यह दिन बहुत विशेष है क्योंकि माना जाता है कि इसी दिन भगवान शिव जी ने त्रिपुरासुर नाम के राक्षस का वध कर उसका संहार किया था. यही कारण है कि इस दिन को त्रिपुरी पूर्णिमा भी कहा जाता है. मान्यता है कि कार्तिक पूर्णिमा के दिन भगवान विष्णु के मत्स्य अवतार का जन्म हुआ था. इस दिन गंगा स्नान करना चाहिए. पूरे वर्ष गंगा स्नान का फल प्राप्त होता है. आमतौर पर इस दिन गंगा स्नान के बाद दीप-दान किया जाना चाहिए. इस दीप-दान को दस यज्ञों के समान माना जाता है.आईए जानते है इस दिन क्या करें क्या न करें
