कार्तिक पूर्णिमा इस साल 8 नवंबर को है। कार्तिक मास को सभी महीनों में बेहद शुभ व फलदायी माना गया है। मान्यता है कि कार्तिक पूर्णिमा के दिन पवित्र नदी में स्नान व दान करने से इस पूरे महीने के गए पूजा-पाठ के बराबर फल मिलता है। कार्तिक महीना भगवान विष्णु को अतिप्रिय है। कार्तिक पूर्णिमा को देव दीपावली के नाम से जाना जाता है। मान्यता है कि कार्तिक मास में भगवान विष्णु ने मत्स्य अवतार लिया था।
