The U.S. Department of Justice has accused two Chinese intelligence officers of obstruction of justice for an alleged attempt to bribe a U.S. official. The U.S. Attorney General’s office claims that in 2019 the spies attempted to bribe the official with $61,000 in Bitcoin to steal files related to the case against Chinese-based telecommunications company Huawei. In its analysis of the transactions, Blockchain intelligence firm Elliptic showed that the agents used Wasabi Wallet to conceal the transactions.
