Journalist Steve Vines lived and worked in Hong Kong for 35 years, including as a presenter with the territory’s public broadcaster, RTHK. He left the city last year citing a decline in press freedom. TaiwanPlus reporter Louise Watt spoke to Vines, the author of “Defying the Dragon: Hong Kong and the World's Largest Dictatorship”.
