One of the main goals of the Saudi government's Vision 2030 is to facilitate the Umrah for as many people as possible. The Saudi Ministry of Hajj has launched Digital Umrah Services through which Umrah pilgrims from Saudi Arabia can book hotel, transport and other services online. In this regard I will clear you a question. Can foreigners residing in the country on Iqama issue Umrah visas for their families?
The plan of the Umrah host program was prepared two years ago, which could not be implemented due to Corona, later this plan was stopped. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has now issued a clarification stating that the Umrah banquet program is not being issued. It should be noted that the Umrah banquet i.e. the host Umrah visa was the plan of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah that under this program foreigners living in the country were also to be allowed to invite their relatives on Umrah visas from outside the country at their own risk. Under the proposed Umrah program, it was the responsibility of the sponsoring persons to provide accommodation, food and transportation to the people coming to the country. Apart from this, they will also ensure timely return to their country. However we hope that Saudi Ministry and Government will work on this visa type. It will facilitate expatriates to manage their families on low and desired expense and way.
