September 14 is inscribed in the history for so many special events. On this day, 1949, Hindi was given the status of official language by the Constituent Assembly on this day, hence this day is celebrated as Hindi Day. However, the first Hindi Day was celebrated on 14 September 1953. Today, in the year 1960, OPEC i.e. Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries was established.
