Victorian Ombudsman says WWC laws need urgent change

An Ombudsman's investigation has found Victoria's 'Working With Children' checks are the worst in the country, and must be changed to protect children from predators. Other states and territories have the discretion to block people from working with children on the basis of allegations, but Victoria doesn't. The call to change the law was sparked by an ABC investigation into a youth worker who was also a sex offender.
