NBC News reports that according to a Gallup survey released this week, 56% of Americans are experiencing financial hardship caused by inflation. .
Of that 56%, 12% described the effects as "severe," while 44% said they were "moderate.".

63% of middle-income households, those that make $48,000-$89,000 a year, are struggling.
40% of upper-income Americans
reported financial hardships as well.
To cope with increased prices, 24% of respondents said they've cut spending.
17% are traveling and driving less
and canceling vacations.
