Borders reopening fuels growth in Australian economy

The latest gross domestic product figures show Australia’s economy remains resilient, despite surging inflation and rapid interest rate rises. The figures from the ABS show Australia’s economy grew zero-point-9 per cent in the June quarter and 3-point-6 per cent through the year. The continued growth has been aided by the first full quarter of re-opened domestic and international borders since the pandemic began.
