Owaisi demands celebrating September 17 as 'National Integration Day’

All India Majilis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi has written to Home Minister Amit Shah and to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, urging them to celebrate September 17 as the day of national integration day instead of the day of liberation.

BJP’s Telangana unit had earlier demanded that the state government officially celebrate ‘Telangana Liberation Day’ on September 17.
