Shotgun Ltd. — Shotgun Ltd. 1971 (USA, Hard/Progressive Rock)

The only album from the band from Culver City (California). The group consisted of young Californian musicians aged 17 to 21. From 1967 they played under the name "The Twilighters", then "The Ash". They were quite popular on the West Coast and made good money playing weekends and doing mostly covers. They were discovered by Delaney Bramlett (of Delaney And Bonnie) who helped them sign an album deal with Prophesy. The guys were assisted in recording by Jim Gordon, Ben Benay (ex- “Goldenrod”) and Jerry Jumonville. All material was written by the band members, with J. Loppnow and R. Lawson contributing to three songs. The album turned out to be quite good, but without the proper support of the label it was not successful. Buzzie Buchanan became a studio musician, working with Commander Cody and Juice Newton in the late 70s.
