President Droupadi Murmu addressed the nation for the first time on the eve of 76th Independence Day on Sunday. Murmu said that the day of 14th August is being celebrated as Partition Horrors Remembrance Day. The purpose of celebrating this day is to promote social harmony, human empowerment and unity. She also said that Indian tricolours are fluttering in every nook and corner of the country.
