After Indian weightlifter Jeremy Lalrinnunga won the country's fifth medal at the Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham after capturing gold in the Men's 67 kg final, his father thanked the nation for supporting him.

"We are thankful to the nation for supporting our son, Jeremy Lalrinnunga during the Commonwealth Games. We are also thankful to the supporters of Mizoram," said Gold-winning weightlifter Jeremy Lalrinnunga's father, translated by their family friend on July 31.
